Neya Systems selected for first Army Capability Accelerator cohort program

Cohort to Focus on Bringing Commercial Automation Technology to Artillery Resupply

Neya Systems announces that it has been selected to participate in the Field Artillery Autonomous Resupply (FAAR) Cohort through the Army Capability Accelerator (ACA), a research effort conducted by Alion Science and Technology in support of the Army Applications Laboratory (AAL) and the Army Futures Command (AFC). This Cohort will focus on helping the Long Range Precision Fires Cross Functional Team (LRPF CFT) automate the U.S. Army’s approach to storing, shipping, and loading munitions.

“Neya is dedicated to developing autonomous technologies that will keep military personnel safe in unsecured and hostile environments,” said Mike Formica, Division Manager of Neya Systems. “The autonomous artillery resupply system will increase both safety and efficiency. We are excited to be working alongside the other selected participants in the FAAR Cohort to provide a robust solution to the Army.”

Designed for small businesses and companies that don’t typically work with the federal government, ACA Cohort companies receive $150,000 to complete a 12-week program that culminates in a capability pitch to Army stakeholders, private investors, and other potential partners. Each Cohort focuses on solving a specific problem aligned to the Army’s 16-year modernization strategy that has been identified by an Army mission partner.

The program is being executed by Alion Science and Technology as part of their ongoing support of AAL to accelerate capability development for critical and emerging Army needs. The FAAR Cohort program began on January 13 in Austin, Texas, and will conclude on April 2.
